South Tamarind Elementary School is a multitrack, year-round school that serves approximately 900 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes programs in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and technology education. The school additionally offers classes in art, music and physical education. South Tamarind Elementary School has a library that features more than 10,000 titles in English and over 100 titles in Spanish, as well as resources, such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, newspapers and magazines. It offers an accelerated reader program that encourages students to read books. In addition, the school offers English Language Learners and Title I programs.
