The Alvarado Rey Agency has been a place that has represented actors from Europe and Latin America as well as domestically in the fields of theater and commercial acting since 1941. It provides assistance to other companies in need of up-and-coming talent. The agency has two agent representatives, Nikkolas Rey and Aaron Leider.
The landmark club at 7180 Sunset Boulevard opened in the 1940s as a burlesque club. The business evolved over the years from featuring topless dancers to its most recent incarnation as an all- nude strip club. The club's Web site touted it as the ''most famous strip club in the USA.'' It gained even more notoriety when it was mentioned in the Motley Crue hit ''Girls, Girls, Girls'' in 1987 as one of the band's favorite locations. The club, which does not serve alcohol, is also rumored to be an occasional hangout of some of Hollywood's rich and famous.
Moun Of Tunis Restaurant, located on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and North Gardner Avenue, serves authentic cuisine from Tunisia and Morocco. The restaurant has a wonderful interior with mosaics, thick pillows ringing low dining tables and a belly dancer who performs to Middle Eastern music throughout your meal. Waiters dress in traditional customs (velvet pantaloons) and perform a Moroccan hand-washing ceremony on diners.
Each dish is carefully prepared for you by the chef, a native Tunisian, and menu items include herb-flecked lentil soup, couscous, crispy roasted quail, garlicky shrimp, honey lamb, beef, chicken and lamb kabobs. The relaxed atmosphere is fun and the authentic cuisine is fantastic.
