JL Environmental JL Environmental has the knowledge, training and determination to provide its clients a strong presence to guide them through the maze of environmental laws that govern upland and wetland habitats. With over 20 years of experience, Jeri L. Curley, owner and principal ecologist, will never meekly accept arbitrary decisions handed down from agencies. Our policy is to provide the strongest, science-based representation that our clients have a right to expect, yet so often do not receive. JL Environmental has the knowledge and training to conduct a variety of surveys for fauna and flora listed as threatened, endangered, or species of special concern by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FFWCC) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). JL Environmental is well versed on the habitat requirements of these listed species and can design a survey to meet your specific needs. JL Environmental performs wetland assessments and delineations in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, Chapter 62-340, F.A.C. and Technical Report Y-87-1, Dept. of the Army, respectively. Because State and Federal methodologies differ, their respective wetland limits may also vary. In addition to the differing methodologies used to determine wetland limits, jurisdiction also varies as a result of the recent Supreme Court rulings. For this reason, an assessment of agency jurisdiction is essential prior to delineation of wetland lines.
