The Dawes House is a home on the national register of historic places. It is managed by the Evanston History Center. Built in 1894 on a lakeshore site over two acres, the house incorporates many classic Tudor and Jacobean design elements. At over three stories tall, the house has six bedrooms. Tours are available.

Dance Center offers ballet, modern, tap, jazz and hip-hop dance classes at three levels; primary level (beginner- 3-7 yrs), student level (7yrs- young adults) and academy level (pre-professional).  Nineteen experienced dance instructors teach a variety of classes, summer camps and workshops. Cecchetti classes are offered for advanced students working on passing their Cecchetti exam.  Adult classes for beginners and returners are available; drop-ins are welcome.  The studio has a no-refund policy on classes, but offers $15 trial classes.

The YWCA Evanston/North Shore is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. A variety of programs and services are available here to achieve that mission. An extensive aquatics program is offered here as well as emergency housing, legal advocacy and support for victims of domestic violence. Also offered are financial literacy courses for women of all ages and Racial Justice trainings and dialogues. The YWCA Evanston/North Shore also hosts the annual Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate.

The first organizational meeting for Faith Temple Church was held on January 7, 1957, with the official opening service occuring later the same year on April 24 in a temporary location at Foster School (2010 Dewey Avenue). The church relocated permanently to its current location at 1932 Dewey Street in 1967. The church was founded by Bishop Moody, who has led the church since its inception in 1957.  The church has a variety of offerings beyond traditional Sunday worship services, including Christian education, youth programs, music programs, a gospel choir, prison ministry, sick and shut-in ministry and community evangelism.

Connections for the Homeless provides housing, employment and supportive services to move individuals and families out of homelessness. Connections assists people in attaining personal, emotional and housing stability. The group runs shelters, does outreach for people living on the streets and provides health services to those in need.
