Physician specialties include: Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation ( PM&R ), Pulmonary Medicine, and Family Practice. Some of our referral specialties include Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Opthamology and Dermatology. In particular, IMA has extensive experience with OSHA requirements, specializing in asbestos, heavy metals, lead testing, hazardous waste and respirator testing. We are open Monday through Friday from 7: 00 am to 5: 00 pm ( from 6: 30 am at our North Syracuse location ). After business hours, we are on call 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Jowonio means to set free in the language of the Onondaga Nation, which reflects the mission of The Jowonio School: to free children to learn and grow without stereotypes and prejudice. Jowonio is a nonprofit school that offers both pre-school and kindergarten programs for children at a variety of ability levels. With a faculty that consists of more than 60 teachers, therapists, social workers and psychologists, Jowonio enrolls more than 140 students, a third of which are considered special-needs children. The school was established with 15 students in 1969 by a group of parents seeking an alternative to public school education.
