Founded in 1959 by Donald and Marilyn Bianchi, Barry Silverman and Mark Silverberg, Dobama Theatre produces innovative and consequential plays by up-and-coming playwrights. Also, through its educational and outreach programming, it seeks to "nurture the development of theater artists and build new audiences for the arts while provoking an examination of our contemporary world." The theater produces 5 to 6 mainstage plays per year. Shows run Thursday - Sunday. Adult tickets are $20, $18 for seniors and $10 for students and can be purchased at the box office or online.
