The Greene County Sheriffs Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects and serves the citizens of Greene County, Tenn. Located in Greenville, Tenn., it maintains a criminal investigations division that performs duties related to processing of crime scenes, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and filing charges for the violations of misdemeanor and felony crimes. The division investigates, provides evidence and testifies as a witness in criminal cases. In addition, the Greene County Sheriffs Department has a patrol division that responds to complaints filed with the department, reports of incidents and criminal violations, as well as enforces traffic laws, investigates accidents, and serves in the civil and criminal process.
