The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit, all-volunteer fire department that serves a population of more than 6,800 people. It provides fire protection, rescue and first response services for medical emergencies. The department operates as a combination organization within the Loudoun County fire, rescue and emergency management system with more than 50 volunteer members and over 10 firefighters. The Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department maintains a fleet of several engines, tower and ladder trucks, tankers and emergency response vehicles. The department serves Purcellville and surrounding communities of Lincoln, Hillsboro, Hamilton, Round Hill, Philomont and Lovettsville in Virginia. Established in 1923, the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department is located in Purcellville, Va.
