Virginia Robinson Gardens is a listed estate on the National Register of Historic Places that offers estate tours by appointment and whose gardens are open to the public. Virginia Robinson of the Robinsons-May Department stores, whose family built this home in 1911, was known as the "First Lady of Beverly Hills." She was legendary for her card games and popular parties, which were frequented by celebrities like Fred Astaire and Maurice Chevalier. She also loved the tropics and transformed her six acres into a miniature tropical paradise complete with exotic plants, rare specimens, pools and fountains. The consulate offers document legalization services for those traveling to Brazil for school, work or residency. It also provides visitors with information regarding Brazilian tourism, business and trade.
Visa services are available on non-holiday weekdays from 9am to noon (for applications by appointment and visa pick-ups) and from 2pm to 3pm (for pick-ups), with a processing time of up to ten business days. Visa services are by appointment only and the consulate does not accept or return applications by mail.
