For the past few years, Madison Fire District has been the 4th busiest of the 16 fire departments in Lake County, falling behind the City of Mentor, the City of Willoughby the Painesville City Fire Departments Our firefighters provide a wide variety of services to the Madison community including fire suppression operations, emergency medical services, commercial fire inspection and public education. We continuously train to stay current with fire and EMS education. The department is under the leadership of Chief Gene Lutz and Madison Fire District Board, of which three members are from the Madison Township Board of Trustees and three members of the Madison Village Council.
