The Libertyville Civic Center was built in 1935 and served as a post office until 1992. Located in the heart of downtown Libertyville, the center offers six rooms for rent. The rooms can accommodate small groups or up to 200 people. Rates range from $40 to $475 for four hours depending on the room size. The Center is also home the Libertyville Senior Center. It offers a wide array of activities and events for residents 55 and older.
Built adjacent to Elawa Farm and Middlefork Forest Preserve, Elawa Farm Park serves the neighborhood with two soccer fields, a basketball standard, a pavillion with grills, and playground equipment. There is a walking trail next to the park at Middlefork Savanna, a 570-acre open prairie which is owned and managed by the Lake County Forest Preserve.
An amazing natural setting, even in the winter visitors can cross-country ski through the Middlefork Savanna.
