Chartered in 1919, The American Legion is a nonprofit community service corporation that has more than 2 million members. It is one of the worlds largest wartime veterans organizations. The organization administers several scholarship programs the Legion Riders program. The American Legion also provides various sports activities, such as baseball and shooting.
