Sunset Burial Park is a non-denominational cemetery. The park, built in the 1920s, consists of more than 200 acres of neatly landscaped, serene surroundings, including statues, a lake and a clock tower with a bell.
Pitman Funeral Homes offers advanced funeral plans, cremation, pet cremation and monument stones for gravesites. In October 2009, it moved into a large new facility in Wentzville. This location is very accomodating and has four small viewing rooms, plus two large ones, along with a chapel and a main room for meeting with visitors.
The murals in the main area are above in the dome, and feature sketches of the Wentzville area as well as Missour scenesi. Pitman Funeral home has an office, where customers can select caskets, urns and also clothing for the deceased. Pitman Funeral Home Service has been active in the Wentzville Community since 1922.
