Ron Squires opened The Squires Company in 1993. Since then, it has become one of the top designers of re-imagined antique furniture. It takes classic pieces and recreates them, exactly, or redesigns them to fit modern tastes or a specific living space.
Every piece is applied a finish that gives it the look of an authentic, perfectly-kept antique. It uses fine woods like solid walnut, mahogany and cherry to create pieces in the fashion of those from the 18th century up through the 1920s and '30s. Clients can ask The Squires Company to design their piece with custom specifications, and their orders will usually require no extra time.
A. Rudin is well known for the excellent quality of its high-end line of home furnishings. The store has an extensive collection of sofas, chairs, beds and headboards, bar and counter stools, benches and ottomans, and lighting. Credit cards are not accepted, and the shop is closed on the weekend.
