Sur La Table is a kitchen supply and cooking store that offers an amazing range of small kitchen electrics, cookbooks, espresso machines and coffee makers, cooking pots, pans and utensils, stylish placemats, cutlery and much, much more.  The company was started at Pike's Place Market in Seattle in 1972 selling kitchenware imported from France.  It now has over 75 stores nationwide.  The Berkeley store does have a European feel to it and continues to offer wares by European manufacturers but also offers its own products and those of high-end American manufacturers.  The store is brimming with hard-to-find kitchen and dining goodies and is a chef's delight.
