Founded in 1896, Wee Burn Country Club is a famously private country club that caters to elite clientele. Wee Burn, which means "small stream," boasts a private Spanish-style clubhouse, tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, a private beach front in neighboring Rowayton, trap shooting and a swimming pool.
The Country Club of Darien is one of Darien’s private country clubs. The club is best known for its 18-hole golf course, which is arguably one of the most beautiful in Fairfield County. The golf course first opened in 1957 and features nearly 7,000 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
The Darien Kiwanis Club also meets on Tuesdays at the CCD.
