Valleywood Golf Course is located on 190 acres of rolling hills, amidst majestic bunches of trees and 11 ponds. This 18-hole course has hosted many major golf tournaments in the past few years. Valleywood practice facilities include 30 hitting stations with precise distance signage individual to each station. Lessons are available for both adult and junior golfers.
A full service grill offers a variety of sandwiches, snacks, ice cream and beverages. Two full service concession carts tour the golf course seven days a week.
The University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course is a public course designed by Tom Vardon. The Course is known for its tight fairways and elevated greens. Instructor Jim Manthis offers lessons for groups and individuals. He has mentored over 250 caddies, including thirty-seven who have earned Chick Evans scholarships to attend college.
Prestwick Golf Club has an 18-hole, par 72 championship course, a 40-station driving range, two practice greens and a practice bunker. It offers leagues, lessons and clinics. Axel's at Prestwick is the on-site restaurant and bar, a community favorite. For special events, there are two ballrooms available for rent, a 250-seat space as well as a smaller space for groups of 30 to 80. Axel's provides the food and beverages for private events. Prestwick Golf Club is open to the public and also offers membership, which comes with added benefits. It is recognized by the National Audubon Society for eco-friendly landscaping.
Lost Spur Golf and Event Center is a 9-hole golf course, open to the public, with a layout that allows players to take in views of the city and surrounding landscape while golfing. Lessons for adults and kids are available. It is also an event center for parties, weddings and more, with a capacity for 400 people, dance floor, full-service bar and catering options.
