The Blue Mound Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole course featuring a banquet hall and club house. Additional amenities include golf instruction and men's and women's leagues. Only candidates that are invited by current members and fufill the membership requirements are allowed to join.
Situated along Underwood Parkway, Hansen Park's principle feature is a not-too-challenging golf course, but it also has some of the prettiest views in Milwaukee County. Hansen lies near the confluence of Underwood Creek and the Menomonee River, with ample woods and winding trails nearby. In winter, it is a popular place to go cross-country skiing.
Part of the Milwaukee County park system, the 47.4-acre Zablocki Park includes a picnic area, softball field, two baseball fields, three tennis courts, two basketball courts, three open playfields, playground equipment and restrooms. Visitors can also enjoy a nine-hole golf course designed for beginners or players that want to improve their short game. The golf course rents clubs, bags and pull carts. No reservations are needed; people can tee off on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Milwaukee Country Club facility in River Hills features an 18-hole course. Golf Digest rated it the 53rd-best golf course in the nation. This site opened in 1929; however, the club itself has been around for more than a century. Although this private club prides itself on its golf course, it also has tennis and swimming facilities.
