The Parking Division is a part of the Downtown Operations Department, which is governed by the city of San Antonio. The division is responsible for operating, maintaining and enforcing more than 2,000 on-street parking meters and over 6,400 off-street spaces in the city. It includes administration, fiscal, operations, maintenance, meters and enforcement sections. The Parking Division operates several multilevel parking structures, such as Central Library Garage and Houston Street Garage, as well as issues permits at various locations. The division administers a residential decal program and offers special events parking services. In addition, the Parking Division provides a hybrid vehicle parking program.
