In 1955, a member of the Heiman family purchased the elevator business. Since 1975, Jerome and Sue Heiman have continued the family-owned business. They expanded from just milling flour to making bagged livestock feed and custom livestock feed mixes. In 1981 a True Value hardware store was acquired, and the company became the True Value Hardware & Farm Supply Store. Diane and Mark Klossen, daughter and son-in-law of the Heiman family, joined the business in 1985. Seeing a need in Holden, the Heimans expanded again by adding a full-service lumber yard to the company holdings. In addition to our excellent True Value hardware store and the Heimans feed store, we also operate a full-service lumber yard.
