Get Shaved is a popular and unique ice cream shop. While long lines wrap around the small shop throughout the day, customers agree its worth the wait. It offers a a large variety of different and interesting shaved ice flavors, such as Boysenberry, Mango and Cotton Candy. There is also a smaller selection of ice cream and shakes. The shop makes itself available for catering as well.
King's Burgers is a local staple in the Valley. It has been in business for years and it continues to serve its popular mix of food. It is located on Reseda Boulveard, in between Vincennes and Prairie Street, which is just a block away from Cal State Northridge. The menu consists of a wide variety of different cuisines, including burgers, sandwiches, Japanese and Mexican. It also serves some signature burgers and sandwiches, lincluding the Hawaiian burger, Patty Melt, Pastrami Burger and King Burger. Japanese selections include sushi, terriyaki bowls and soup. Mexican classics include bean and cheese burritos and tacos. Breakfast is also available.
You won't find any schnitzel at "The Der," but what you will find are delicious hot dogs, sundaes, hamburgers and the famous 79-cent corn dog. This location has a drive-through ordering window and both inside and outside seating. It's located across the street from the CSUN campus.
