Sunshine Senior Care, located in Grand Rapids, Mich., is a nonprofit, Christian organization that provides in-home care and transportation services for clients and their families. The services are designed for senior citizens that would enable them to remain in their homes while recuperating from an accident or illness. It also offers respite care for families and supervision of those individuals who need continuous monitoring. A member of its nursing staff meets with each client and their family in the home to assess needs and make recommendations for a personalized plan of care. The care services include housekeeping and companionship, home health aide, sunrise and sunset visits, private duty nursing and medication management. Sunshine Senior Care provides both in- and out-of-area, door-to-door transportation services. The services include transportation to and from work, doctor appointments, rehabilitation and therapy appointments, errands and grocery shopping.
