Floyd Medical Center provides medical care to the patients, residents, visitors and communities of northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. Services available to patients include: bariatric, surgery, behavioral health, cardiac services, diabetes nursing, diagnostic imaging, emergency care, family medicine, home health, hospice, intensive care, laboratory services, maternity services, occupational medicine, oncology, pastoral services, pediatrics, wound care, rehabilitation services, urgent care and women s health. Floyd Rehabilitation Center was built in 1942 through citizen funding and led by Dr. W.H. Lewis. The medical center currently serves six counties with more than 300 licensed beds. Floyd Rehabilitation Center maintains a central operating facility and administrative headquarters in Rome, Georgia.
