Located in Homewood, Ala., Vocational Rehabilitation Service is one of the largest divisions of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services. It provides services to more than 15,000 individuals with mental, physical and learning disabilities. Vocational Rehabilitation Service provides specialized employment- and education-related services and training to teenagers and adults with disabilities. In addition, it provides educational opportunities to students in middle and high schools, junior colleges and universities in Alabama. Vocational Rehabilitation Service also offers vocational assessment, evaluation, counseling and job training services.
