Donghwan Lee is a New York–licensed acupuncturist and is nationally board-certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Lee is also a licensed practitioner in China He has a five-year bachelor’s degree and a three-year master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, the top acupuncture school in China. He practiced at Dongzhimen Hospital and Guoyitang Hospital -- which are both affiliated with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine -- for more than 11 years. With this comprehensive and classical training, his background sets him apart as one of the area’s most skilled experts in Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has completed in-depth studies on constitutional medicine and the treatment of chronic disease under the instruction of Professor Wangqi, one of the top "TCM Masters" as nominated by the Chinese government. His master’s thesis, written on the efficacy of Chinese herbs to treat erectile dysfunction, was published in top Chinese journals. With a wealth of experience in the treatment of allergies, chronic disease, anxiety, menopause, mental health disorders, insomnia, and digestive diseases, he is skilled at creating custom protocols for patients with both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He is also highly adept at treating conditions of the spine and back, with a focus on pain relief. He received intensive training in acupuncture for pain treatment from Professor Huang Jianjun, a well-known Chinese acupuncturist, and worldwide lecturer.
