Roseville's first library is now the Carnegie Museum. The museum offers walking tours of old-town Roseville for schools or groups by appointment; the museum itself holds a collection of aircraft and railroad paraphernalia, a music room and old film, camera and sound equipment. Tours are free of charge but are only available with reservations.
The Maidu Museum and Historic Site brings the rich and diverse history of the Nisenan and Maidu tribes to life. The historic site is federally protected and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It offers an outdoor nature area, weekend tours and a world of historic Native American culture. In addition to guided museum and trail tours, educational outreach programs, art exhibits and other community events, the museum is available for private rental for parties and other events.
