The Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92 is a visitor's center and exhibition facility which displays and celebrates the history of the Brooklyn Navy Yard from the Revolutionary War to the present day. Exhibitions include a past, present and future history of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, "Designing the Future" and Gallery 92, a traditional art gallery which showcases a rotating variety of works and collections. There is also a range of public programming available, including bike and bus tours, informative talks and dramatic performances.
The Old Stone House is located within distance to the J.J. Byrne Playground, between 4th and 5th Avenues. The Dutch farmhouse allows visitors to explore the history of the American Revolution -- and colonial life. The farmhouse was an important aspect to the Battle of Brooklyn and has become a museum.
Grand Army Plaza, a park entryway located at Prospect Park, was modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It's adorned with the John F. Kennedy Monument, busts of Alexander J.C. Skene and Henry W. Maxwell, and statues of Civil War generals. The location hosts a greenmarket year-round.
