Shane Mashburns family has a rich tradition in the homebuilding industry in Oklahoma City. His father and uncle have been in the homebuilding industry for over 40 years. In 1993 Shane graduated from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Architecture with a degree in Construction Science. After graduation he quickly started his career with a top, national homebuilding company in Texas where he gained experience in different positions as a service manager, builder, production manager and project manager. He currently sits on the board of the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association and the Southwest Oklahoma Homebuilders Association. Darren Faires attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he completed his Business Management degree in 1993. Shortly after graduation he started his own successful homebuilding company. Darren became an active member of his local homebuilding associations. In an effort to give back to an industry that he values and to help expand his own knowledge Darren chose to donate his time and expertise by becoming the President of the Southwest Homebuilders Association in 2002. Upon completion of his term Darren immediately committed to serve the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association where he became President in 2006. He is still an active member of both boards where he serves on each as a lifetime director. Both Shane and Darren are native to Oklahoma and they have been friends since childhood. They both have chosen to raise their families here in Oklahoma City. They have over 30 years combined experience in the homebuilding industry and have helped over 1000 families enjoy the benefits of new home ownership throughout their careers. After gaining a great deal of personal experience Shane and Darren decided to create Mashburn Faires Homes. Since the very beginning their primary goal has been to successfully combine their vastly different experiences and create an innovative company that offers impeccably well built homes and a uniquely enjoyable experience for their homeowners. Since their humble beginnings, Mashburn Faires Homes has enjoyed tremendous success. They have won numerous awards including the 2006 "Builder of the Year" award from the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association. They were chosen by the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Association to build the Project House for the 2007 Parade of Homes. They are currently one of the top 15 most active homebuilders in the Oklahoma City Metro area according to the Builder Report and they were nominated as one of the top 5 choices for homebuilders in the Daily Oklahoman Readers Choice awards.
