Founded in 1844 as Joel Miller and Son, The Miller Company initially manufactured candle holders, lamp screws and candle springs. Today, The Miller Company is an integrated manufacturer of copper-based alloys such as phosphor bronze, nickel silver, leaded nickel silver and copper alloy strip. The company serves the electronics industry and other markets that require copper-based alloy strips. In the summer of 2000, the company became a part of the Metall division of Diehl Corporation, which is headquartered in Nurnberg, Germany. The Diehl Metall Division is one of the leading international suppliers of brass rods and tubes, hot forgings, strip and wire from copper alloy.
