Over 3,000 babies are born each year at the Birthplace at Fairview Southdale Hospital. The Birthplace offers family-centered care and features private rooms for labor and recovery, as well as private mother-baby suites. There are operating rooms for c-sections, an on-site special care nursery and access to Fairview's level III neonatal intensive care unit. After the baby's birth, baby portraits and spa services for the mother are available.
Physicians' Diagnostics & Rehabilitation (PDR) has several clinics in the metro area. PDR specializes in the treatment of neck and back pain. The clinic offers spinal rehabilitation equipment. Located in the Southdale Medical Center, One Stop Medical Center offers many medical procedures including the removal of cancerous skin lesions and vein treatment. It also consists of a procedure clinic specializing in hemorrhoid treatment and Rejuvelaser cosmetic procedures. One Stop Medical Center also has an office in Shoreview, which is open on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm to 5pm.
