This independently owned ice cream and gelato cafe is located inside the Epicurious Market in the "Gourmet Ghetto" of Berkeley. The ingredients used in the ice cream and gelato are all organic and the treats are made from start to finish by Lush, with no fillers or mixes.
Tara's Organic Ice Cream offers flavors that you don't often see in an ice cream shop. It has chocolate hazelnut, truffle ripple, banana agave sorbet, blackberry walnut, eggnog and ginger caramel. The store also carries ice cream cakes that come with a cashew crust and gluten-free ice cream brownie sandwiches (available in Vanilla Bean, Mint Chip and Peanut Butter, among others). All of the ice cream at the shop is completely organic and available in compostable cups and pint containers.
