Stephen Brown, DDS, is one of Americas most distinguished practitioners in the fields of Periodontics and Dental Implants. A graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Brown earned Certificates of Proficiency in Periodontics and Adult Orthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, making him the first in the country to acquire this rare double specialty. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a Fellow of both the American and International Colleges of Dentists and the Academy of Osseointegration, Dr. Brown has earned the respect of his colleagues and his patients alike. In 2006, Dr. Brown was elected a Fellow in The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Founded in 1787, The College of Physicians is the oldest professional medical organization in the country. It is an extraordinary accomplishment for a dentist to be recognized by election to Fellowship in this prestigious society. Dr. Brown was recently honored by his peers when he was selected as an Examiner for the American Board of Periodontology, which evaluates Periodontist candidates for Board Certification. Dr. Brown takes particular pride in his roles as teacher and mentor. He currently serves as Professor of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and as Professor of Periodontology and Oral Implantology at Temple University School of Dentistry. He has been a guest lecturer at the National Naval Dental Center and Walter Reed Army Hospital, as well as at dental schools across the country.
