From an initial inventory of cutting tools and abrasives, Production Tool Supply added thousands of new, first-quality products to its offerings. Production Tool Supply is one of the leading suppliers of industrial tools in the Midwest and one of the Top 100 distributors in the United States. In 1951, PTS began selling to small shops looking for off-the-shelf service and discount prices. Soon, PTS showrooms and warehouses were opening throughout Michigan and Northern Ohio to provide same-day service to local customers. PTS then stocked products that included precision measuring instruments, carbide inserts, hand tools, power tools, workholding devices, safety supplies, fasteners and tool room machinery. Eventually, PTS built one of the largest inventories of American-made and global industrial supplies in North America. PTS now has nine convenient, fully-stocked locations in Michigan and Ohio to serve all of its customer s production tool and machine needs.
