Wallingford Equipment Co., Inc., is a family-owned business opened by Ivan Wallingford in 1953. This Auburn Maine Landmark is now operated by Ivans sons, Mark and Ron. Wallingfords provides quality equipment backed with superb service and over 50 years of experience. The business doubled to include an expanded service area in 1997. Wallingfords has a unique customer base serving many local municipalities and contractors. Heavy equipment like bulldozers, wheel loaders, backhoes and excavators are available from such lines as Hyundai and New Holland Equipment. A large selection of Stihl power tools like chainsaws are also available with many homeowners will be happy they found Wallingford as well. "There are more and more gentleman farmers around who really appreciate a well landscaped, beautiful yard. And for any sizeable amount of space, most people would rather ride than walk," said Mark. To serve this purpose, Wallingfords carries a fall line of compact tractors from Kubota, quality manufacturer of lawn and garden equipment. "At the end of March our showroom is transformed from the Ski-Doo snowmobiles and accessories to a sea of orange with a whole lot of Kubota tractors", smiles Mark. "Just in time for everyone to start thinking about spring." For the larger farm operations, Wallingfords provides a great selection of large farm tractors and all the necessary attachments and accessories. Used equipment is sometimes available for purchase.
