Mark DeLay Elementary School provides educational opportunities for students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers classes in music, math, science, social studies, English reading, writing and art. The school also maintains a parent-teacher association that holds regular meetings and conferences and provides opportunities for parents to become volunteer members for fundraising events and activities. It addition, Mark DeLay Elementary School provides lunch options for its students. It administers the English Language Learners program. The school is a part of Darien Public School District 61, which serves more than 1,700 students through an elementary and junior high school.
