Covenant Day School, established in 1989, is a catholic, coeducational school offering educational services to students in grades kindergarten through 12. It offers sports, including basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, track and field, cross country, golf, softball and baseball. Its curriculum includes Bible, language arts, mathematics, science, history, social studies, ethics, Latin, French, Spanish and physical education. The school also offers extra classes to students needing assistance in organizational areas of their education. Its students also serve food to the homeless. They offer services to the residents of local retirement centers, work as school volunteers, and serve as reading buddies and peer tutors. Covenant Day School is located in Matthews, N.C.
