By the end of 2005, LA Fitness established more than 135 clubs with plans to expand into new markets. LA Fitness has created sports clubs that feature elliptical cross-trainers, multi-level aerobic programs, indoor cycling classes, kickboxing, racquetball courts, full-court basketball, swimming pools, saunas, spas and babysitting services. Over the years, the company has implemented a variety of new group fitness programs including aqua aerobics, yoga and Pilates as well as basketball and racquetball leagues and tournaments. Established in Southern California in 1984, LA Fitness owns and operates sports clubs in Phoenix as well as other cities in Arizona, Washington, California, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Texas.
