This is the Mission branch of the Public Library of Oceanside. It is sponsored by the city of Oceanside, but is run by a private company. The library offers services for different age groups, including adults, teens and children, as well as ADA services to the homebound and handicapped and literacy outreach to help people improve their reading skills. It also loans out DVDs. The resources and library volumes can be found on the library’s Web page, which allows you to do research from the comfort of your home. The website also has downloadable audio books. Library cards are issued for free, but to get one, you must present a copy of your utility bill to prove you are a resident of Oceanside.
City of Oceanside Library Department maintains the town's two major library branches, as well as mobile, home and online library services. Residents of Oceanside can take advantage of the many programs the library department has to offer, including home research, audio books for downloading, book borrowing, literacy services, children's and adults' services, Teen Zone, volunteer opportunities and home-bound service.
