The Peabody Institute Library is Peabody's library and cultural center. It hosts several adult, teen and children's programs and maintains archives dating back to the early 18th century.
In addition to offering a selection of books, audio books and eBooks, the South Branch Library hosts a variety of classes and special events for all ages. These include painting, storytelling, film screenings, kids crafts and more. Meeting rooms are also available for use by non-profit groups.
This is one of three area Peabody Institute Libraries. In addition to a multitude of books, it features computers and hosts events and programs such as summer reading and investment clubs and yoga classes.
The West Branch of the Peabody Public Library offers a range of borrowable and reference materials to individuals in the community with a library card. In addition to its collection, the West Branch has a variety of programs available for both adults and children, including "Gentle Yoga for Adults," "Toddler Story Time" and "After School Specials."
