Located entirely within the confines of Memorial Park, the Mineola Memorial Library juts out of the Western slope of Marcellus Road, overlooking the majority of the Park below.

The main level hosts the bulk of the library's 100,000-plus collection, including the circulation and reference desks, library offices, magazine racks, computer center, several tables, a game table and a copier. Displays in front of the circulation desk are changed monthly to offer a variety of reading and multimedia viewing options with a similar theme such as seasonal reading ideas. One of the most unique features of the main floor is a sitting area in front of a gas-powered fireplace at the Southern end of the library.

The children's room is located on the lower level and can be accessed just off the main entrance or through a second staircase near the magazine racks. A community room with a stage and overhead projector and screen is also housed on the lower level. A wraparound sun deck also exists on the Southwest corner of the library that provides a view of the park.

This is the library's third location since its initial founding in 1922 in a one-room structure on the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Mineola Boulevard. The library first moved to Banbury Road and Mineola Boulevard on July 29, 1926, and finally to its current location on October 22, 1956. The one-story building was remodeled in December 2000.
