Weaver is East Providence's main library branch. It features books, computers, periodical reading selections, movies, and a children's area. Library director is Eileen Socha.
Kingston Free Library is a public library located in Kingston. The library contains an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books, as well as magazines and newspapers.
The three branches of the South Kingstown Public Library system have an inter-library loan service, so that patrons can take full advantage of all resources available. The Oak Lawn Library is the oldest branch in the city's library system. It was built in the early 19th century and served as a school before opening as a library in 1896.

In its early days, the library was a private, subscription based library to serve the people of the agrarian Searle's Corners area, which is now known as Oak Lawn Village.

Along with the 2.5-mile move in 1840, the building has undergone several substantial renovations to serve the growing community around it. In 1965, the library gained a children's room and basement, and in the early 1990s, a new accessible entrance, restroom and 900 additional square feet of space were added.
Though the Peace Dale Library Association was founded in 1853, it was not located in the idyllic location it resides in now until 1891, a gift in memory of Rowland Hazard. The landmark building sits high above Kingstown Road, but don't let its imposing visage fool you. Inside are thousands of square feet to roam and over 35,000 items to browse within the surprisingly modern facility. The circulation and information centers are newly-renovated and feature a self-checkout option at the reference desk. In addition to its wide selection of books, the George Hail Library also offers computer classes, book clubs, workshops, and story hour for kids. It also offers genealogy and Internet resources for kids, teens and adults.
This branch of the South Kingstown Public Library, located in the Perryville/Matunuck section of town, has more limited hours than the main branch in Peace Dale but many of the same services are available. Located on Pontiac Avenue, the Auburn Library was founded in 1888 and was known as the Auburn Reading Room Association. It once served six neighborhood locations before it was relocated to its permanent spot on Pontiac Avenue. This cozy library boasts a sizable reference and music selection, as well as an expansive children's room. A unique service offered by the Auburn Library is a books-at-home service for the elderly and other Cranston residents who have trouble leaving the house.
