Founded in 1938, Burien Library offers a range of informational, educational and recreational resources for users of all ages. The library houses more than 100,000 books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, e-books, videocassettes, CDs and documents. In addition, it offers meeting rooms for noncommercial purposes. Burien Library also provides volunteer tutors for the preparation of math, SAT and WASL tests. Additionally, the library offers special programs for students in kindergarten through grade 12. It sponsors a variety of book clubs at its community libraries. In addition, Burien Library offers the English as a Second Language and early literacy programs.
