St Matthew's Lutheran Church of North Hollywood is a progressive Lutheran community that welcomes the gay and lesbian community. The church is very large and has a tranquil garden near its entrance. Sunday worship service is at 10:30 am. The Crown City Theatre Group is located on the premises.
The St. Paul's First Lutheran Preschool is located on Tujunga Boulevard off of Magnolia in North Hollywood. The facility is run and operated by St. Paul's First Lutheran Church. Accepting children between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, the school provides age-appropriate language arts and math activities, as well as Christian-enriched curriculum, which includes daily Bible lessons and Wednesday morning chapel worship. Children enrolled in the program will also learn psalms with a view at singing them at church services. Tuition fees are listed on the website.
