Quality Vinyl Siding began in early 1992 by Ricky and Gwenda Pepper. It was started in Salem in the West Limestone Community near Athens, AL. Quality Vinyl Siding moved to Athens a few years later into an old building (now demolished and a parking lot at the new Courthouse Annex) right off the square and on top of the railroad tracks. At this location, business grew the need of a larger area for a delivery truck bringing in product was needed, and since no relief was possible in a cramped downtown area another location was necessary. In 1997 the business moved into a new building on the corner of U.S. Hwy 72 and Reid Rd.; this is its present day location one mile west of the city limit. Quality Vinyl Siding changed its name to Quality Vinyl Wholesalers to reflect the more variety of products that are available, and moving out of the city gives us more room to grow and saves our customers thousands on sales taxes alone. Additional space was needed and built on in 2001 and again in 2008. The business, still locally owned by the Pepper family, has not changed much from its origin have good prices, stand behind the products it sells, and have service that cannot be beat.
