National Marine Manufacturers Association, headquartered in Chicago, was established in 1979 with the merger between the Boating Industry Association of Chicago and National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers of New York. It has more than 1,500 member companies, and provides a wide variety of programs and services, including technical expertise, standards monitoring, government relations avocation, industry statistics. NMMA stages a wide range of trade shows, including IBEX and the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show, to bring retailers and wholesalers together with American and international marine manufacturers. National Marine Manufacturers Association is affiliated with various organizations, including the Association of Marina Industries, Houseboat Industry Association, National Marine Bankers Association, Sail America, and States Organization for Boating Access.
