Founded in 1971, Container Maintenance Corporation provides services to the shipping industry. The company is a subsidiary of Marine Repair Services, which was formed in 1973 through the merger between Container Maintenance Corporation and several other businesses engaged in the repair of shipping containers, trailers and chassis. Container Maintenance Corporation functions as a subsidiary to Marine Repair Services, performing a full range of on-port and off-port services. In addition, the companies provide off-port storage at facilities located along the East Coast. Marine Repair Services, which is headquartered in Staten Island, N.Y., has Container Maintenance Corporation subsidiaries located in Baltimore; Norfolk, Va.; Wilmington, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; New Orleans; and Nashville, Tenn.; North Charleston, S.C.; and Garden City, Ga.
