Alabama Metal Industries, also known as AMICO, is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial flooring and grating and expanded metal products throughout North America. It was established in 1939 and is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., with various branches, including Fontana, Calif., Dayton, Texas, Greenville, S.C., and Lakeland, Fla. The company offers plastering, stucco and drywall building products; concrete forming, security barrier and fiberglass structural products; and perforated metals and access floor systems. AMICO manufactures products in more than 15 locations throughout North America and distributes from over 20 centers. Alabama Metal Industries product line also includes expanded metal, metal lath, bar and safety grating; vinyl, galvanized and zinc beads; stay-in-place concrete forms; and fiberglass cable tray and strut systems.
