This school offers 55 weekly Kung Fu classes. The founder of the facility, Grandmaster Richard Lee, pioneered the Bok-Fu-Do system, a system with roots that can be traced back thousands of years to the beginning of the ancient Chinese martial arts. Bok-Fu-Do, "the System of the White Tiger" is composed of many different fighting arts from around the world. It is one of the few systems of martial arts developed in the West that is internationally recognized because of its consistent success in world competitions.
The school's students have had national and international success, and the faculty is highly trained and dedicated to the philosophy and practice of martial arts at their best.
The martial arts school offers tae kwon do instruction for students ages 4½-65. The school offers demonstrations, promotion tests, black belt testing, tournaments, field trips, summer camps, marathons and picnics and jump rope competitions. This is one of three dojangs in the area founded by Grand Master Ahn.
Master Koo has been teaching taekwondo for more than 35 years. He is the President of California State Unified Taekwondo Association. All the instructors at his academy have a black belt in karate and are highly trained and highly skilled.
The academy's programs are designed to gradually improve a participant's abilities and take into consideration each person's fitness level, age and gender specifics. Classes are designed to increase overall health, mental discipline and alertness, strength, flexibility, confidence and speed.
