Bethune-Cookman College has been operational for more than 100 years. Founded by Mary Jane McLeod Bethune, the college enrolls more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. Based in Daytona Beach, it has extension sites in Bradenton, Fort Pierce, Gainesville, Spuds, Sanford and West Palm Beach, Fla. Bethune-Cookman s libraries house more than 2 million volumes, and offers a wide variety of services, such as alumni support, circulation services, e-reserves, geographical information systems solutions, group study rooms, instruction and tutorials, interactive media center, interlibrary loans, library services for persons with disabilities and storage facilities. In addition to bachelor s, master s and doctoral degrees, the college provides various special programs, including alliance for graduate education in the professoriate, honors college, international education and study abroad modules, online and long-distance learning, presidential scholarships, project renaissance, and transfer agreement and planning.
