Silver Lake College, located in Manitovoc, Wis., offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. The college is one of the few institutions in the area to offer programs in special education, Web publishing and youth ministry. The college music department was one of the first in the nation to adopt the Kodaly method into its music education program. The institution has a student population of more than 900 students. The campus offers apartment-style living. The residence hall is located near the main campus and provides a private bath and shower, fully furnished living room and kitchen, washer and dryer, and a community room for study and leisure. The institution offers intercollegiate competition in basketball and cross country. It also offers intramural opportunities, such as a dance team.
